Rodion

Rodion (real name Edoardo Cianfanelli) is a Rome-based DJ, producer, and composer known for blending cinematic drama with cosmic disco and electronic elegance. Originally trained as a classical pianist, he made an early switch to synthesizers and studio experimentation, developing a distinctive sound inspired by Italo disco, krautrock, and vintage sci-fi scores. His debut album ‚Romantic Jet Dance‘ gained early support from tastemakers like Prins Thomas and the DFA crew. Mixmag once described him as „the new genius of dance music„, a title that reflects his unique artistic vision. Rodion has released music on respected labels such as Eskimo, Bearfunk, City Slang, and MB Disco — including a remix of Giorgio Moroder that the disco legend played during his first-ever DJ tour. His tracks have been supported by artists like Franz Ferdinand, Erol Alkan, Andrew Weatherall, and James Holden.

He’s also one half of the cult duo Alien Alien with Hugo Sanchez, and part of collaborative projects like Idolos Futuros and Deux Control. Rodion has performed at clubs and cultural institutions worldwide, from Berlin and Istanbul to Mexico City and Kuala Lumpur, bringing his cinematic take on dance music to both underground venues and major art spaces.
