Swiss-Polish artist, DJ and musician Alexandra Feusi returns to Iptamenos Discos with “Business”, a wry look at creative ambition, the business of being an artist and the everyday work of keeping a creative life moving.

Arriving on 30 September 2026 alongside an accompanying video, the single follows her 2023 debut “Hello Sunday”, which has since surpassed 750,000 streams.

Written and composed by Feusi, “Business” is produced by Austrian producer Sebastian “Zebo” Adam, whose credits include work with Bilderbuch, Wanda and Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys. Across three minutes, the track brings her playful approach to electronic music into contact with a subject she knows from both sides of her practice: the balancing act between making art and managing everything that comes with it.

“I wanted to become a clown / But became a painter instead” she begins, finding humour in the gap between artistic ambition and everyday reality. With the refrain “I make business / Big business”, Feusi plays both artist and salesperson. Beneath the mischief lies a familiar tension: the demands of a creative career can leave little room for creativity itself. As “I need to work” pushes eating, sleeping, fun and love aside, “Business” captures that contradiction without losing its ability to laugh at it.

Feusi’s music moves between indie dance, disco, house and leftfield electronic pop, combining a playful sensibility with a touch of melancholy. Her debut “Hello Sunday” introduced that balance through a song born from isolation and heartbreak, finding an unexpected source of humour in the image of a trapped bug. Alongside its growing streaming audience, the release received airplay from ORF FM4, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, ByteFM, Polskie Radio Czwórka, KEXP and Tsugi Radio among others

Living and working between Vienna, Zurich and Kyoto, Feusi maintains a visual-art practice alongside her music. She studied at the Zurich University of the Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, graduating from the latter with distinction. An exchange year at Kyoto University of the Arts in 2023/24 had a lasting influence on her work. Her paintings explore shifting relationships between bodies, environments, humans and animals, using an apparently naïve visual language to approach complex subjects. A similar interest in contrast runs through her songwriting, where everyday observations become something eccentric, humorous and quietly revealing.

Active as a DJ since 2020, Feusi brings together techno, indie dance and disco with psychedelic textures and an intuitive approach to storytelling. Her appearances include FM4 Unlimited, Kultursommer Wien and various venues in Kyoto and Japan, reflecting the connections between Austria, Switzerland and Japan that continue to inform her practice.

With “Business,” Feusi brings her identities as painter and musician into the same frame, turning the ambitions, routines and contradictions of a creative life into the subject of the song itself.
