ΙΠΤΑΜΕΝΟΣ ΔΙΣΚΟΣ

Shortly after releasing his fantastic solo album ‚Generator‘ Italian pianist/producer Rodion released his ‚Days Like This‘ EP on Roccodisco in July 2016. This EP is about chronicles of an altered space odyssey. The voyage is still deep into obscure, schizophrenic dark beats, with the unique flow of the analog Maestro.

The title track is the sound of facing the immensity of space, outside and inside us. The material is 200% analog, mechanical uptempo: intense, rough and visionary. Nobody else would shape this sense of being lost in time and dance like Rodion and his machines do.

If space is the place, then b-side ’Nebula’ is where the chaos of millions of infinite and vibrant particles collapsing together generates fear, obsessive rhythms, dark matter, shining states of mind. Psychedelic, you would say.

Both tracks come with stunning alternative versions. The French sensation Markus Gibb provides a killer manipulation of ‚Days Like This’, transforming the original into a creepy masterpiece: a breathless funk booty orgy where obscure pleasures take place. Hugosan (Rodion’s partner in the Alien Alien affair) gives ‚Nebula’ a twisted dub vision on a tropical 808 groove, with a baseline which will blow your mind and speakers.
